When Alefba Group was established in 2019, it consisted of 5 committees. In the year 2020, we added two new committees, each dedicated to one aspect of Alefba’s cultural and social mission.

The Bylaws are designed such that new activities and committees can be added to the organization over time. On Sunday, April 4, 2021, two new activities were proposed by a group of Alefba family members and the Board of Directors subsequently approved addition of two provisional committees on Monday, May 3, 2021:

• Youth Committee:

The main goal of the Youth Committee is building leadership skills and making connections between the youth of 14 to 24 years old, and the rest of the Iranian community and culture.

• Heritage Committee:

The focus of the Heritage Committee will be introducing and highlighting elements of the Iranian heritage including literature, history, art, and etc.

A few Alefba members joined as the members of these new committees and are actively working on developing programs to achieve their missions.

According to the Bylaws, these two provisional committees can become permanent committees after a minimum of 6 months activity, subject to approval of the Board of Directors and Alefba’s membership.
