The mission of the Heritage (Miras) Committee is to introduce, promote and facilitate access to Iranian and Persian culture, focusing on the history, art and literature and the ancient culture of Iran and other Persian-speaking regions.

We will facilitate discussions, workshops and other activities in order to promote and highlight Iranian and Persian heritage.

Part of this committee’s mission is to introduce Persian and Iranian heritage to different segments of the community including: the next generation of Iranian and Persian-speaking individuals as well as the non-Iranian communities in WA state.

We are planning to produce classes, workshops, talks, articles, videos, and other material on and about Persian and Iranian heritage.

The Heritage Committee will create a number of subcommittees to help realize and further its mission. These subcommittees include those that aim at producing content, creating classes, and websites. Here are a few examples:

 1. Creating a database (in the form of a website or portal) in order to aggregate content, references, and material related to Persian heritage, whether produced by this committee or by other organizations. 

 2. Producing accessible content which are related to the objectives of the committee, and uploading them to the committee’s portal in order to make it accessible to the public.

 3. Offering talks and classes on relevant topics.

 4. Collaborating and consulting with other Alefba committees including Radio Iranshahr, Kankosh, Kherad Society etc.
