Project Pardis

In 2021, Alefba Group received a grant from the City of Seattle to conduct a feasibility study for establishing an Iranian community center in Washington State. This project, named “Project Pardis,” was divided into several committees, each focusing on specific aspects, and was led by volunteers from the Iranian community, including Alefba Group and other non-profit Iranian organizations in Washington State.

Alefba Group collaborated with various Iranian organizations and community members to identify the needs and requirements for the center. Based on the feedback, three phases for different time horizons were identified. Following the needs assessment, real estate agents and other community volunteers joined the search for suitable locations. A design contest was also held, where university professors and architectural professionals reviewed submissions from over 41 teams to select the top designs for the center.

As a trial run, a physical location was rented in Bellevue to better understand the requirements for an Iranian community center. This location, now known as the Pardis Center, is available to the community several days a week. For more information about the Pardis Center, please visit alefbagroup.org/pardis.

Upon completion of the feasibility study, a findings report was submitted to the City of Seattle. For more information about Project Pardis and to review the report, please click here.
