During the Corona virus pandemic period, Seattle Iranian Choir and Seattle Peace Chorus Action Ensemble recorded a video under the title of “To Be Human”. This virtual performance is on a beautiful and meaningful poem by the 13th century Persian poet, Saadi Shirazi. This video is dedicated to the victims of racial injustice in the world.
All the people are the limbs of one body,
that in creation are made of one gem
When life and time hurt a limb,
other limbs will not be at ease
To be human is to feel the pain of all
The music of this song was arranged by Dough Balcom. Afshin Sepehri arranged Persian lyrics. Payam Khastkhodaei and Nedra Gaskill accompanied the two choirs with piano and guitar.

گروه کر ایرانی سیاتل به همراه گروه Seattle Peace Chorus Action Ensemble در دوران قرنطینه، در ماه ژوئن شعر زیبا و پرمفهوم «بنی آدم» از شاعر بزرگ ایرانی، سعدی شیرازی را به صورت مجازی اجرا کردند و آن را به تمام افرادی که قربانی تبعیض نژادی در جهان هستند تقدیم نمودند.

موسیقی این اجرا توسط آقای Dough Balcom تنظیم شده است. آقای افشین سپهری تنظیم بخش فارسی را انجام داده اند. آقای پیام خواست خدایی و خانم Nedra Gaskill به ترتیب با نوازندگی سازهای پیانو و گیتار دو گروه کر را همراهی نمودند.
