Kherad Society was informed via and email from the manager of Mukuhi Adult Family Home in Bothell that they are hosting an Iranian 90-year-old man who is alone in this area.

They were looking for an Iranian and Farsi speaking support group to give him a visit. This email happened to be on the same day as the gentleman’s birthday.

Kherad Society coordinated a visit to the center on the same day.

On Wednesday June 16th, 2021, a group of Alefba volunteers visited the center and celebrated his birthday with a cake and a small gift. The gentleman, who was speaking English at the beginning, was extremely touched when he realized the visitors were from his country of birth and spoke his mother tongue. The group stayed around an hour listening to what the gentleman had to say.

The group left the center with promises for future visits.
