On Yalda night, active Iranian organizations in Seattle held a grand online celebration.
The celebration event was organized in collaboration with Alefba Group, Iranian American Community Alliance (IACA), Seattle–Isfahan Sister City Advocacy (SISCA), Peyvand Organization and Seattle Persian School.
The program aired live on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 4 to 6 PM for the kids and 6 to 9 PM for the families and both sections were very well received by its viewers. Thanks to the simultaneous broadcast on Zoom and Facebook, over 400 people viewed this program live and many watched the recording afterwards.
This cultural-entertainment program included artistic, entertaining and educational sections such as the history of Yalda, poetry reading, Hafez poetry recitation, music, dance, storytelling, contest and friendly chat with well known Persian artists.
Also before the event, Alefba group prepared 200 special gifts in accordance with Iranian culture for 200 registrants and distributed them for free.
بمناسبت فرا رسیدن شب یلدا، سازمانهای فرهنگی فعال در سیاتل با همکاری هم یک جشن پرشور بصورت آنلاین برگزار کردند.
این جشن با همکاری سازمان الفبا، انجمن اتحادیه ایرانیان و آمریکاییان سیاتل، شهرهای خواهر سیاتل و اصفهان، سازمان پیوند و مدرسه فارسی سیاتل برنامه ریزی و اجرا شد.
این برنامه به صورت زنده در روز شنبه ۱۹ دسامبر ۲۰۲۰ از ساعت ۴ تا ۶ عصر ویژه کودکان و ۶ تا ۹ شب ویژه خانواده ها پخش شد و مورد استقبال بسیار خوب مخاطبين قرار گرفت. با توجه به پخش همزمان بر روی زووم و فیس بوک، بیش از ۴۰۰ نفر بصورت زنده این برنامه را مشاهده نمودند.
این برنامه فرهنگی – تفریحی شامل بخش های هنری، سرگرم‌کننده و آموزشی از جمله تاریخچه تصویری یلدا، شعرخوانی، فال حافظ، موسیقی، رقص، قصه گویی، مسابقه و گپ و گفتگو با تعدادی از هنرمندان سرشناس ایرانی بود.
همچنین به مناسبت شب یلدا، سازمان الفبا برای ۲۰۰ نفر از ثبت نام کنندگان هدیه ای متناسب با فرهنگ ایرانی تهیه و بصورت رایگان توزیع نمود.

The Iranian Organizations contributed to 2020 Yalda Celebration
Alefba Group is a non-profit organization dedicated to Iranian and Persian culture and community. It currently consists of the following committees which act as the letters of its alphabet (Alefba means alphabet in Persian): Radio Iranshahr, Seattle Iranian Choir, Kankosh discussion group, Chashni culinary club, Kherad Society for seniors, Health and Wellness, and Public Relations. Members of Alefba are considered members of a family who care about each other and collaborate to make good things happen for the community and our culture.
گروه الفبا یک سازمان غیر انتفاعی ایرانی در ایالت واشنگتن است که تمرکز آن بر روی فرهنگ و جامعه ایرانی است. این سازمان شامل فعالیتهای زیر است که هر کدام به مانند حرفی از این الفباست: رادیو ایرانشهر، گروه کر ایرانی سیاتل، گروه گفتگوی کنکاش، انجمن خرد، چاشنی، سلامت و روابط عمومی. اعضای الفبا به مانند اعضای یک خانواده در کنار هم هستند و اهداف این گروه را به همکاری هم به پیش می‌برند.
Iranian American Community Alliance (IACA) is a cultural and community-based organization focused on cultural & educational programs, and youth & leadership development through community service & activity. IACA is based on a passion to build bridges within and between communities with desire to not only serve the Iranian American community but also our neighbors in the greater Seattle community through embracing values of diversity, unity, and solidarity. IACA teams with other reputable organizations and strives to make a positive impact.
انجمن اتحادیه ایرانیان و آمریکاییان سیاتل یک سازمان فرهنگی مبتنی بر جامعه با تمرکز بر برنامه های فرهنگی و آموزشی، و جوانان و توسعه رهبری از طریق خدمات و فعالیت در جامعه است. IACA بر پایه اشتیاق برای ساختن پلهایی در داخل و بین جوامع استوار است و مایل است نه تنها به جامعه ایرانیان آمریکایی بلکه به همسایگان ما در جامعه بزرگ سیاتل از طریق پذیرفتن ارزشهای تنوع فرهنگی، وحدت و همبستگی خدمت کند. IACA با سایر سازمانهای معتبر همکاری می کند و تلاش می نماید تا تأثیر مثبتی ایجاد کند.
Peyvand is a non-religious, non-political and non-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting University of Washington Persian and Iranian Studies as well as to provide a platform for other nonprofit Iranian-American community groups. At the present time, we have extended our non-profit umbrella to Seattle Persian School; a local community organization. We are proud of this unique relationship; we believe strongly that this relationship is a symbiotic relationship. We are in discussion to extend our non-profit umbrella to “We The Artist” group.
پیوند یک سازمان غیر مذهبی، غیر سیاسی و غیرانتفاعی است که به حمایت از برنامه مطالعات فارسی و ایرانی دانشگاه واشنگتن و همچنین فراهم آوردن بستری برای سایر گروه های غیرانتفاعی جامعه ایرانی – آمریکایی اختصاص دارد. در حال حاضر، ما چتر غیر انتفاعی خود را به مدرسه فارسی سیاتل که یک سازمان جامعه محلی است گسترش داده ایم. ما به این رابطه بی نظیر افتخار می کنیم. ما قویاً معتقدیم که این رابطه یک رابطه همزیستی است. ما در حال بحث برای گسترش چتر غیر انتفاعی خود به گروه “We The Artist” هستیم.
The Seattle–Isfahan Sister City Advocacy (SISCA) is a dynamic organization made up of citizen volunteers – Iranian- Americans and allies – from the greater Seattle area who seek to reverse decades of hostility between the United States and Iran by developing people-to-people relationships between our two countries. SISCA is the proud host of the annual Nowruz Celebration at Seattle City Hall, as well as other community arts and cultural programming.
شهرهای خواهرِ سیاتل و اصفهان (SISCA) سازمانی پویا است تشکیل شده از شهروندان داوطلب ایرانی- آمریکایی و متحدانش از منطقه سیاتل بزرگ که به دنبال تغییر مسیر دهه ها خصومت بین ایالات متحده و ایران از طریق توسعه روابط بین مردم دو کشور هستند. SISCA افتخار برگزاری سالانه جشن نوروزی در تالار شهر سیاتل و همچنین سایر برنامه های فرهنگی و هنری را دارد.
Seattle Persian School is a Washington non-profit organization with a volunteer board of directors. Its focus is teaching Persian language to students of ages 18 months and above. We strive to foster Persian language and cultural identity through the following teaching approaches: Project Based Learning, Multisensory Learning, Learning with a variety of topics, Student centered learning, Learning in small size classes, Integrating culture with language learning. Seattle Persian School has 501(c)(3) exemption through sponsorship by Peyvand Organization.
مدرسه فارسی سیاتل یک موسسه غیرانتفاعی در ایالت واشنگتن است که اعضای هیئت مدیره به صورت داوطلبانه مدرسه را اداره می کنند. هدف اصلی مدرسه فارسی سیاتل، آموزش زبان و ادبیات فارسی به کودکان، نوجوانان، بزرگسالان، و آشنایی و توسعه فرهنگ و میراث ایرانی از طریق برنامه های هنری و فرهنگی می باشد. در راستای بهینه کردن کیفیت آموزش، کلاس ها با تعداد کم و از طریق انجام پروژه و بکارگیری حواس پنجگانه دانش آموز، به موضوعات مختلف علمی، هنری، اجتماعی، فرهنگی می پردازد.
